Health, Safety & Environment

Safety and responsible service delivery are central to our operations.

Specialised services, including high-rise access and drone operations, are performed only where the appropriate competencies, licences, approvals and safety controls are in place.

Our approach includes

  • Site-specific risk assessments
  • Safe Work Method Statements where required
  • Appropriate PPE
  • Chemical management and Safety Data Sheets
  • Equipment inspection and maintenance
  • Incident and hazard reporting
  • Staff induction and training
  • High-risk work controls where applicable
  • Environmentally responsible cleaning practices
  • Waste minimisation
  • Preference for environmentally responsible products where suitable

Before work starts

Every new site starts with a walk-through and a site-specific risk assessment. We confirm your site rules, induction and access requirements, permits, isolation procedures and emergency arrangements, and we plan who will be on site, when and with what equipment.

Where the work is higher risk, such as working at height, pressure cleaning, machinery wash-downs or chemical use in confined areas, a Safe Work Method Statement is prepared and reviewed with the team before the task begins.

On site

Our team wears the PPE the task and your site require, uses equipment that is inspected and maintained, and follows your sign-in, permit and housekeeping rules. Chemicals are stored, labelled and used as their Safety Data Sheets direct, and we keep the data sheets available for your site records.

Hazards, near misses and incidents are reported to you promptly so they can be closed out properly, not just noted.

Working safely in Pilbara conditions

Pilbara work brings its own risks: extreme heat, long drives between towns and sites, fatigue on rostered work, red dust and the cyclone season from November to April. We plan work hours, hydration, rest breaks and travel to manage heat and fatigue, and we agree cyclone-season arrangements with each client so sites can be secured before an event and cleaned up safely afterwards.

Environment

We choose environmentally responsible cleaning products where they suit the job, measure chemicals rather than over-using them, minimise waste, and separate recyclables where your site provides for it. Wash-down water and run-off from pressure cleaning and machinery cleaning are managed according to your site environmental requirements.

Documents for your prequalification

Procurement and contractor-management teams can ask us for our capability statement and the safety documentation your prequalification or tender process requires. Tell us which system you use and we will work through it with you.
